Our Routine

Drop off

Children and their parent(s)/guardians will be greeted upon arrival by our team, a warm welcome, familiar faces and a cheerful smile, reassurance for a great day ahead. Our team will liase with the parent(s)/guardians, exchanging messages, gathering information and obtaining any specific requirements i.e. sleeping pattern/medication etc. to ensure your child's individual needs are met throughout the day.

Outdoor play

Outdoor play is very important for the development of the children. This is the time that they get to explore the natural world using resources of their choice, all resources inside can be used outside. The outdoors is like another classroom, the resources allow for development in both the Prime and Specific areas of learning, set out in the revised EYFS.

Morning snack time

This is an opportunity for the children to come together while enjoying their morning snack and refreshment.

Circle Time

Circle time is implemented throughout the nursery. The structure varies depending on the time of day and the age range implementing it. Most common activities during circle time are singing, stories, discussions, shapes, numbers, colours, days of the week, months of the year, self-registration, the date and weather.

Activities

A number of activities are on offer throughout the day including free choice, enabling the children to select independently. The activities are designed to inspire each child to play and explore, discover and grow, learn and understand. Activities are tailored to each individual child's interests, abilities and needs, whilst being encouraged to develop their confidence and independence through positive reinforcement and support.

Dinner time

Dinner time commences from 11.15am (approximately). We promote independence throughout mealtimes (where applicable). Our Good Hygiene Procedure and Healthy Eating Policy are closely followed. The children have the opportunity to talk about the healthy meals we offer and our team provide support and assistance (if required), our reassurance and aid promotes a relaxing and enjoyable time for all.

Sleep time

Our team will establish a suitable sleeping routine for children requiring a nap by liasing with parent(s)/guardian. Children's sleep routines will vary depending on each child's individual needs. The children that do not require a daytime sleep will have various activities to access both inside and outside.

Outside

We implement an All Weather Policy, therefore whether it is raining or bright sunshine your child will have the opportunity to go outside. (We ask parent(s)/guardians to provide suitable clothing, coats, hats, sun hats, sun cream.)
